Kerith Pines, our Manitoba Kerith Retreats centre, is located approximately an hour and 15 minutes east of Winnipeg, Man., on 103 acres of pristine conservancy land. Surrounded by mature forests and situated away from major roads, the centre sits on a preserved jewel in the wilderness.
In 2013, when Walter and Elly Loewen offered Focus on the Family Canada this gift of land to be used specifically for a retreat centre, Focus Canada felt God’s direction in expanding their ministry. And one year later, Kerith Pines opened its doors, glorifying God and providing a message of hope and rest for those in the prairie provinces.
David and Vicki Hooper are from High River, AB, where David serves as Associate Pastor at The Crossing Church. Vicki is a lead marriage therapist with Focus on the Family Canada’s Hope Restored Marriage Intensive Therapy program. Married for over 30 years, they have two married adult children and one grandson. Together, they are passionate about helping couples build healthy marriages.
As deeply caring and inspiring speakers, they bring a wealth of both personal experience and professional insight to their Journey to Us presentations. David and Vicki also love ministering together through Alpha, Alpha Marriage, and leading worship, and enjoy fun together over a good competitive game of Sequence or table tennis.
